We have observed that when it comes to cleaning surfaces, the terms – sanitisers and disinfectants – are often used interchangeably. But while both of these help towards cleaning, they are not the same and actually have distinct applications.
By definition, a sanitiser is meant to reduce the bacterial contamination on surfaces by at least 99.99%, whereas disinfectants go a step further and are designed to kill 99.99% or more of a wider range of microorganisms, including viruses and fungi. Sometimes, these can be availed in concentrated form, and sometimes, these can be made available for direct use. Both sanitisers and disinfectants contain strong chemicals, and we advise due caution during use.
